No dia-a-dia, convivemos com pessoas que, por algum gesto simpático ou pela companhia que fazem, se tornam mais do que simples colegas.

E é, aparentemente, assim que os alunos da universidade Providence College, na Rhode Island, nos Estados Unidos, se sentem em relação ao segurança da residência onde moram.

Os alunos deste colégio moram no Raymond Hall, uma residência universitária, e foi lá que conheceram James Mogaji, o segurança do complexo, e com o qual se dão bem.

Este segurança está a trabalhar nesta universidade há mais de dez anos e, como tal, não vê a sua família, que está na Nigéria, desde aí.

Então, estes alunos decidiram surpreendê-lo e, ao mesmo tempo, agradecer-lhe pelo companheirismo.

"Assim que soubemos que James não via a sua família há mais de uma década, foi o pontapé inicial para esta iniciativa", afirmou um dos alunos à ABC News.

A partir daí, foi criada uma angariação de dinheiro para que James Mogaji conseguisse visitar a família.

E assim foi!

Os alunos, que consideram o segurança "como família", conseguiram angariar cerca de 5500 euros e entregaram-lhe este valor num momento, realmente, comovente, onde James Mogaji levou as mãos à cara e chorou ajoelhado.

"Disse-nos que, há um tempo, queria ver a sua família na Nigéria, que não via há muito tempo, então nós reunimos isto para si", disse um dos alunos.

O vídeo foi partilhado nas redes sociais e, claro, já conta com mais de meio milhão de visualizações!

Surpresa feita, James Mogaji planeia viajar para a Nigéria em junho.
